Mailbox Management

| Just wondering if I select to delete items from the deleted folder for
all users in Mailbox Manager, will the users still be able to use the
Recover Deleted Items utility that comes with Outlook or will the
messages skip the retention and be permanantly deleted? I've looked
through a bunch of posts but couldn't seem to find any that talked
about this. If anyone knows were I could find a white paper or
article on this that would be great. I need to prove it to my
co-workers by tommorow afternoon so testing isn't much of a choice.
Thanks

| Mark (or anybody),
Do you know anyone that is using this method? Have they been able
to recover deleted items? We currently are using recover deleted
items and would like to start using the mailbox management feature but
I need to know if setting it to delete would allow the users to use
recover deleted items because this is what they are already used to.
I tried to make a policy where there is only one mailbox that it would
check for items but I can not get it to work otherwise I would be able
to test it myself. Thanks for any advice.
Amy
PS. Mark, I do like and have used your articles from msexchange.org
just wanted to thank you for your research.

| Well everyone I'm going to my meeting now so I guess I wont have an
answer for them at this time. Thank you all for trying anyway. I
would still like to know how this is. But for now I will have to
explain System Clean Up files to them.
