| Hi everyone
I have Exchange 2000 server behind firewall. Do I need to
open Port 80 for OWA. If yes, is it not scary to open port
80. Is there another secure way other than using SSL.
If I have to use SSL. Do I need to install anything on
clients' system, where from they will be using OWA ?
Thanks and Happy Holidays

| SSL is your best bet - and you need to open up port 443 on your firewall.
Nothing special should be needed on client machines - just browsers capable
of high encryption, which most are at this point.

You will need a server certificate(especially if you want your users to be able to change their password with encryption.) | |

| Is there a high security risk of opening port 80 for a single host? |
