List Serve-type item?

| We are running exchange 2000. We are a school district, and offer a service
to residents in town, they can submit their names into a mailing list, which
goes into an access database. When we need to do a mailing, we extract the
names manually the copy them into a bcc message. When someone wants off of
the list, they need to send an email to the person in charge of this
mailing, who them has to go and manually delete the entry from the database.
Is there such a creature for Exchange 2000 which can be set up to let users
either submit their email address via a web page or mailing to an email
address, lets us easily generate a list, and, most importantly lets users
send an unsubscribe message automatically. Its a bear to manage this list,
both from the aspect of maintainig the list, and generating a names list.
I know there must be some kind of software which does this, but should I
just get a listserv software, is there something integrated with exchange,
Im looking for something which I know is out there, but cant seem to easily
find one...
Thanks!

| Not really. I use Listserv - they also have a "lite" version which can
handle a fixed number of lists, with a fixed number of subscribers (which
numbers I don't remember) for free at www.lsoft.com. Mercury32 is freeware
also, you could use that. And I'm sure other folks will offer other
solutions like Ikakura or something else from
http://www.slipstick.com/exs/lists.htm.
