Author access to active directory

Hi! Forgive me for posting this message to this
newsgroup, the windows 2000 newsgroup is not accessible.
I want to know if it is possible to access the active
directory in another computer. I want to assign the
administrative functions such as address, division, etc
to the human resource group. But I don't want them to
gain physical access to the server. Is windows 98 and
below capable of this? Thank you.

You would need to install the AD Users and Computers, which is part of the
admin pak.

You can find information about installing the adminpak here;

As far as i know it will work only on Win2k and WinXP.

I am not aware of ANY way of doing it under win98 due to the way it
interacts (or doesnt) with the network
