AutoAccept equivalent (for resources)

| Under Exchange 5.5, I use AutoAccept 4.0 from
www.exchangecode.com. It does the job, despite the
infrequent updates (for free software though, it's pretty
impressive).
AutoAccept basically gives us resources that can accept
and reject bookings based on availability. The important
bonus is that our users don't need to specify that the
room is a resource - they just invite it along, and it
works. This is important here, since there are a large
number of shift workers, making training a difficult
process.
Now the site I'm at is migrating to Exchange2000, and
wants to retain this functionality. According to the
AutoAccept website, v4 doesn't work correctly with
Exchange 2000.
Does anybody have specific experience with this product,
or a similar one? I don't want to write one from scratch
(not a developer myself), and I am also trying to avoid
having a resource delegate type PC, that just sits in a
corner answering meeting requests. I would prefer it all
to run server-side.
Thanks,
Matt Duggan.
