Need a bit more detail really. In Exchange 2000
Enterprise Edition you can configure a server as a front
end server. You can then delete all the information
stores and it will handle the OWA requests and then relay
the requests to your other back end Exchange server
hosting the mailboxes etc. This can be used to lighten
the load on a server, to secure OWA a bit or to allow
users to get to their email without knowing the server
name where multiple servers have mailboxes on them.

This is exacly what I am trying to do. For security I want to install OWA on
a sepearte server which will sit in the DMZ. Once the install is done, are
there special stores to delete? Won't it be talking to our main server and
thus deleting those stores will effect all the users.

Keep in mind that even if you're just using the one server for OWA, you
still need an Exchange Enterprise license for it.
