Ok so we have just upgraded to exchange 2000. in 5.5 if an
email was sent to the wrong address an email would be
created and sent to the administrator account saying that
this certain say had the wrong address .... ie the persons
name was unrecognised. the email that was sent with the
wrong address it attached to the administrator eamil so
that it can be opened and if so forward onto the right
person.

Does any one know how to set this up

In Exchange System Manager, go to the properties of your SMTP virtual
server. On the Messages tab, enter the desired SMTP address in the 'Send
Copy Of Non-Delivery Report To' field. I don't think you can enter a public
folder address here, though.
