Author Status messages for Exchange 2000 / Public Folders

Q321082 talks about doing a registry hack for status
messages, but this message is only triggered upon startup
on the Exchange store. How do I set Exchange 2000 to be
able to get status messages on the replications of
hierarchy of the Public Folder tree through the PFCA's.

Hi Michele,

Thank you for the post.

Because the midnight Replication Status message is of no use in most time,
it was removed from Exchange 2000. Besides, the administrator's interaction
can be more timely and effective to resolve a replication a problem. This
is also a factor to remove this feature from Exchange 2000. The method
described in Q321082 can be used to narrow down the replication problem.
However, there isn't a method to enable midnight replication status request
message in Exchange 2000.

To manully monitor the replication information, you may open the public
folder's property, click the Details button in the Replication tab.

Hope it addresses your question.

Thanks & Regards,
