Security on Distribution Groups

| I am looking at replacing our existing Mailman (Linux based) List server
with Distribution groups in Exchange 2000, and had a few questions.
From a security standpoint, is it possible for members to submit mail to a
Distribution Group, and have it routed to an approved member for approval?
How would I set this up?
Can anyone point me in the direction of any good reading material on this
topic?

| No, not without you creating the code to support that.
You might want to check out the functionality provided (out of the box) by
moderated public folders. Info at Q182904 XADM: How to Set Up a Moderated
Public Folder

You can also create the functionality yourself. Information on developing on
Exchange is available at http://msdn.microsoft.com/exchange/.
