Hello Mark,

Does the problem occur on all mailboxes or specific mailboxes? Are the
clients using the Microsoft Exchange service in the outlook profiles or
using pop3/smtp to send mail to the Exchaneg 2000 server and storing data
to a pst file?

If it happens to all mailboxes, I suspect that there's either something
wrong on the Exchange 2000 services (not starting correctly) or there's a
network issue.

First thing is to look at the application log for any error messages
regarding Exchange 2000 server. If there are any error messages, you can
use the KB to search and possibly find a solution to your issue.

Secondly, I wouldn't hurt to stop and restart the Exchange 2000 services
and see if this fixes the problem.

Please let me know if this solves your problem or if you would like further
assistance.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Sincerely,

You are not alone - messages sit forever in Outbox. Same thing
happened to me. I ended up uninstalling Office and re-installing up to
but not including SP2.
