Hello,
Does anyone know how I can use exchange API's to create a snapshot of the
exchange database without taking the exchange server offline and doing all
of these threw code or scripts? I would like to use VB or VB.NET if possible

You might want to try a disk replication software solution instead. Take a
look at NSI software. www.nsisoftware.com Their product DoubleTake is
supposed to function with Exchange 2000.
