Hello, thanks for reading....

I want to run OWA on a E2K Front End Server. I want my
users to be able to login to OWA by
http://frontsendserver/exchange. I have checked off the
box to make this a front end server. I have 2 other back
end servers that are clustered that contain the actual
mailboxes and datat.

I want get OWA to work using that Front End path. The
IIS path for the home directory for the Exchange folder
on the Front End server is pointing to the M drive MBX
folders. But since there are no mailboxes on my Front
End Server, nobody can login?

Any ideas on how to set up the IIS settings and HHTP
settings for a front end environment

Brian,

I believe with the existing config, your FE/BE should be working. If not,
you may consider trying the following.

To configure a URL different than the original path, you will need to create
2 additional HTTP virtual server on both the FE and BE server. On ESM,
browse Servrs -> "FE Server" -> Protocols -> HTTP, and create new virtual
server with the new URL. Then right-click on the new Virtual Server and
create a new virtual directory which maps to the mailbox for that domain.
Repeat the same for BE Server and your should have it working. Note, the
important thing is to do this using ESM rather than IIS Admin.

Philip Lo
