Author resource booking question

We have a boardroom that we use for video conferencing and projection. The
room is setup as a resource and we use direct booking.

My question is: Is there a simple way to have a server based reply whenever
a meeting is booked? We'd like to be able to remind meeting organizers that
the IT department will need to be involved for setup, assistance etc. with
certain video conference calls.

sure.. first log onto that account.. and setup the rules wizard.. to have
server reply.. with what ever you want on it.. and then after that.. you
would stop processing.. then go to tools options and go to calendar and
start going through the tabs.. to make sure all are not checked to save msg
or anything else... after that...its pretty simple... and then make sure
only Admins have full access and make sure users only have author rights..
or contributor.. so they cannot go back and deleting others... I will look
at some docs I created at work.. and try to bring home to explain how to
automate responses.. and not to allow conflicting appts.

Since I am using direct booking no messages actually get sent to the
mailbox. I already have a rule setup that indicates that the "resource was
not properly booked" if they use a meeting request form instead of direct
booking.
