?????????????

Thanks for the tip Ed. Can you tell me how to reconnect ? In the
systemmanager
of ex2k I cant change any properties in the mailboxes. I only see count+size
displayed, and for the mailbox in question theres the S-1-xxx-yyyyyy-zzzzz
number instead of the username that used to be...
Or can I use the Arcserve2000 backup?

User can have only one mailbox you can connect a user to another mailbox.
mailbox and under Exchange task delete the mailbox ( The mailbox
is kept for 30 days by default for retention )

The Exchange cleanup agent :
This tool check and try to match the Exchange mailbox to an Active Directory
user account , if this tool does not find a match it marks the mailbox
with a red cross. then you can reconnect that mailbox to a user in the
Directory
that does not have a mailbox.

Deleted mailboxes retention
Open the Exchange system manager locate the mailbox store
right click the mailboxes object and run the cleanup agent.
The deleted mailbox should have been marked now with a
red cross right click the mailbox to purge it from the
database or reconnect them to a user that does not have a mailbox.

You connect a real live user account in the AD to the orphaned
mailbox. Once that's done you can give yourself "Full mailbox accesss"
rights (or just log on as that new user) and access the mailbox.
