| Hello all - looking for help
I have an SMTP virtual server that a handful of web sites
post auto-generated e-mail to. That server is behind a
firewall and uses NAT.
I am trying to have it send e-mail to my exchange server
outside the firewall to then relay to its destination for
only one domain.
The domain is not a part of the VS domain or the exchange
server domain. I can't have the exchange server be an open
relay so I enabled MS intergrated authentication. I set
the VS up with the account name and password and created
an account on the exchange server.
The logs indicate that the user passes the authentication,
but then it fails to relay the message with the error of:
454+5.7. 3+Client+does+not+have+permiss
ion+to+Send+As+this+s
ender.
The email message from and to lines have a user that is
not the same as the user in the authentication - the
message is trying to go to a remote domain but can't get
past the exchange server.
Is this doable? Is there and easier way? How can I get
what I have to work - if it is possible?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Scott Kinnersley
