How to check which exchange version is installed (Standard or Enterpise)?

Quick way:

In Exchange System Manager, get the properties up of your server object and
see if you have a "This server is a front-end server" tick box. If you see
it, you've got Enterprise. If not, it's Standard.

Slightly longer way:

Search your event log for event IDs 1216 or 1217 when the IS service starts
up - these events tell you whether you've got unlimited storage capacity
(Enterprise) or not.
