We want to implement a fax solution. What products do you like and dislike?

Ya, GFI Faxmaker at www.gfi.com. They offer an integrated Exchange version
and stand alone network version that can send faxes from your Outlook
address book. Good support and fair pricing.

Nay, Omtool Fax Sr. support was not as good and the product was a nightmare
to remove from Exchange box.

What about Zetafax? anyone try that one out? I've been eying the GFI and
Zetafax products trying to decide. Leaning toward GFI, but for no real
reason other than instinct.

I certainly agree with John Oliver regarding OmTool's Fax Sr. Poor tech
support, flaky product when I tried to deploy it in an enterprise
environment. Ripped it out and put in RightFax, which worked great in a 3
city / 48 lines per box / 2000+ user environment. It cost a bundle though!

I haven't used GFI but I hear good things about it.

I've used ZetaFax in a smaller setup. It worked well for a 1 server / 4 line
/75 user network. I don't know how well it would scale. Their technical
support has been above average. They tend to revise the product more often
so I would advise getting their annual maintenance contract if you go with
them.

Good luck! /gary mcdonnell

Hi all,
Please excuse my ignorance here but..
why does it appear the everyone is going for a third party fax solution when
apparently Exchange/SBS2000 has it's own fax server system?
