| Exchange 2k server with sp2, outlook 2002 client with sp1 connecting
to exchange through vpn tunnel over cable modem isp. When the preview
pane is on and the client clicks on an email message with a large
attachment, it takes a long time (10-15 minutes depending on
attachment size) for the text of the email to appear in the preview
pane. If the same exact email is sent without the attachment, the
preview pane shows the email text immediately. Should it be taking
that long to preview an email with an attachment when the preview pane
is doing nothing with the attachment but showing that there is one??
And i assume it is doing nothing because if I wait for the preview
pane to show the email and that there is an attachment, and i click on
the attachment and select either save or open, it takes another 10-15
minutes to download the attachment. Its like it is downloading the
entire email and attachment before showing them in the preview pane
and then downloading the attachment again. Can anyone else please
test this and let me know their results? Can someone respond as to
wether this is a design flaw or intentional??
