Author Is Exchange 2000 a good product for an ISP?

Hi,

I've asked several questions and have gotten some great feedback. However,
I've noticed that much talk of Exchange is generally geared toward corporate
environments. Although my organization is not an ISP, we are ISP-like in
that we service and host several customers, their domains, e-mail and web
sites.

Is Exchange 2000 suitable for this kind of environment and what kind of
resources are available for this kind of usage?

Thanks again to those that have offered guidance.

I know many ISP's/ASP's that are using Exchange, have you looked at the
hosting documentation on at the link below, they have some great documents
and case studies that might help you make your decision.

Personally, I have set up many Exchange environments, and think it works
quite well in the ASP model. Check out this for more info:

If you're just providing POP mail, there are much easier & cheaper solutions
for mail.

Exchange is currently running in an ISP with over 5 million users.

Does that answer your question?

Now your situation sounds as if you are an ASP, not ISP. That makes things a
little different, but Exchange works well in both situations.

By any chance is there a white paper or other information on this
installation? I would really like to know more about their implementation,
how many users per server they have, etc. Talk about the Big Time!
