PF alerts and custom forms

| 2 questions concerning public folders (Exchange 2000 SP2/Win2K SP3
environment):
1) When a new message is sent to a public folder, is there a way to have an
alert (or new message count show up) in Outlook?
2) I am trying to associate a specific custom form with a public folder (in
lieu of the default 'post'). I am pretty sure that I have full Admin rights
on the folder...unless I missed something. However, when I try to associate
a custom form (of the nature IPM.Note) with the folder, I get "You cannot
create an item of this type in this folder." Am I doing something wrong, or
is this not possible? My goal is to require a specific e-mail form to be
used for posting and replying within the public folder. I already have an
event sink that takes incoming posts, and converts from IPM.Post to
IPM.Note.
Any information is appreciated! Thank you.

drag the folder onto your outlook bar to have a shortcut there.

Something is wrong with your form type ... it's mismatched with the folder
type. See OL2000: How to Set Any Form as the Default Form for a Folder
