Exchange 2K outgoing not working after used to relay spam

| I have Exchange 2K that was working just fine until some jerk relayed
spam through it last weekend. Though I turned off the relay option, I
had a bunch of queues that resisted deletion until I killed the
connector that they originated from. I have reinstalled Exchange 2K and
E2KSP3
Here are the symptoms:
1) Internal email works just fine
2) Sending mail externally works
3) Incoming email doesn't work
4) Telnet will connect to email server but will not do anything. All it
does is display the message "Press any key to continue..."
5) There are several Default SMTP Virtual Server Queues that can't be
deleted from the spam. Some have messages and some don't. They are all
from SMTP connector Remote delivery
6) I have never needed an external mx record for my Exchange 2K server.
7) Running netstat -a, shows that the server is binding to my ISA
server.
8) I can hit the Pop on my Exchange Server externally with Outlook
express
I believe it is something screwed up with the SMTP, duh, but can't put
my finger on what is hosed. How can I track mail from the ISA server to
the exchange server?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

| Could you have blocked your relay server from connectiing to your exchange
server when you turned off relaying?
