Uninstall Exchange!

| I am trying to uninstall Exchange, but get an error that there is a mailbox
still on the server and it needs to either be removed or mail disabled
before continuing.
The only two accounts that have not been moved over are, system attendant
and SMTP. Does anyone know where I can find these (or at least the one
stopping the unistall) in AD. Thank you!

| Go into ADUC, enable Advanced view. This will allow you to Remove Exchange
Attributes under Exchange Tasks. You can do this on chunks of users until
you hit the right one (if you have multiple servers, use caution not to
strip the attributes of the wrong users).
If all else fails:

| Ooh dangerous Dave! Ha Ha!
I mentioned in the exchange2000.setup.installation group that I used an
Active Directory search of all users with an Exchange Home Server field
present, and scanned that column in the list to locate the offenders. Worked
a treat.
Might be worth a crack first. Was eyeing up that Microsoft page but reaaally
didn't like the idea of doing it manually!! Wahey!
Steve.

| Steve, you rock. Thanks for the posts guys, Steves solution worked like a
charm. For me, turned out to be a single corrupt account that was once
removed as mail enabled. Once account was gone everything was great.
Needed Steve's nice little maneuver to find it though, otherwise would have
had to go through 300+ accounts. Thanks again!
