If the server was configured with some deleted item
retension time......Then select the folder and use the
deleted item recovery feature. For public folders you
will have to use an outlook client, the button is not
available in owa.

b) select the properties of the public folder store in
question. Go to the limits tab and you should see
deletion settings---set the number of days.
a) making the public folder available to an outlook
client can be done but care needs to be taken. Are there
any mailbox store that are using MAPI?

store that is using MAPI enabled as well as a public store that is MAPI
enabled (the default ones). the Public Folder in question is not available
through Outlook. is there a way of making it accessible through Outlook?
