IMAP4 login problems

| We would like our IMAP clients to be able to login using just their username
and password. Unfortunately, we have been unsuccessful in our attempts to
get this to work. The only way we are able to get IMAP access via Outlook
Express is to use username@domain.com as our login name. This is confusing
to our users because we have multiple email addresses and they are unsure as
to which one to use.
We have set the default domain item under the access tab for the IMAP
virtual server to be our default (and only) login domain and it still does
not work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

| Chris,
This probably won't work but maybe it will point you in the right direction:
We have had some problems with the IMAP connector after upgrading our
Exchange server to SP3.
Somehow it was no longer possible to access the mailbox using IMAP and clear
text authentication. (We use this for some PDA's who dial in)
We tried several options but the only thing that worked was reinstaling the
IMAP connector.
So you might try that.
Concerning the settings:
We use domain/username as the logonname. It doesn't work wihout the
domainname.
The reply address must be the SMTP server.
