Author Storing an attachment sent to all users?

Does anyone out there know, if someone sends an attachment, say a 1MB pdf
file to all users
on the Exchange 2000 server, does the server store the attachment 'once' and
put 'logical pointers'
in all users mailboxes to the physical file location, or does it store the
file physically in every users'
mailbox?

Please don't crosspost between newsgroups. It's unnecessary.

Yes, Exchange stores the message and attachment only once inside the
Information Store (i.e., the Exchange database).

Mail is not copied to the user's local computer unless they set up an
offline store (OST file), personal folder store (PST files) or are using the
POP3 or IMAP4 protocols.

Good luck! /gary mcdonnell
