No mailbox created with new SBS User
|

| When I created a new user with the Small Business
Server 2000's wizard, it created a new account for a
user to sign in to the network but failed to create a new
Exchange Server 2000 mailbox.
Our SBS is licensed for 10 users and I believe we
have 10 mailboxes, but the license for SBS explains
that you can have more than 10 users if machines are
shared (this account/mailbox was being created to
share a computer).
I did not receive any message saying that the mailbox
wasn't created. In fact, the summary from the wizard
said it was created. However, there was no mailbox
when I checked in Exchange or when I tried to sign the
user in from Outlook.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

| Not sure with SBS 2000 but regular Exchange version requires CAL for machine
accessing the Exchange Server. Does not matter if you have 5 users on one
machine it counts only as one Exchange CAL. With SBS you may be right, each
user not machine requires an SBS CAL. Might want to check with Microsoft or
search google for an answer.

| SBS also is by machine, not user. So, a 10 CAL could be
50 users on 10 machines.
