Outlook strange problem with Exch2000

| I would be so thankful if somebody gives an answer to my problem.
The pronblem is that , in my organization , we have 3 Exchange Servers
with
the following Description:
Server Name Version
-----------------------------------------
Exch1 5.5
Exch2 2000
Exch3 2000
I added "Exch3" to the site recently as it was a more powerful server,
before installing "Exch3" , there was no problem , and mailboxes were
distributed among "Exch1" & "Exch2" .
As we added Exch3 to the site with Exchange2000 installed on it, and tried
to move mailboxes from the other servers to the Exch3, we got the problem
..
The problem was that after moving all mailboxes from 2 previous servers to
the new one, when users tried to resolve the new server name in their
Outlook clients, they got error "The name could not be resolved, the
operatyion failed"...
But if they type the name of either "exch1" or "exch2" in the Exchange
server name field, the operation succeeds and returns the user's
description
name and its home server which is now "Exch3"!!!!
I want to remove both previous servers , but because of this problem , I
can't go ahead and I shopuld wait until I find a solution for this problem,
so Clients could resolve their mailbox name with the "Exch3" not the
others.

*************
I should add finally , this case is just concerned with Outlook 97 and 2000
, Outlook 2002(XP) has no problem !!!!

*************
Any help in this matter , will be really appreciated.
Thank you

| This could be as simple as a DNS issue. Are your clients correctly
resolving the name and IP on the workstation? Older versions of Outlook do
lookups differently. I had this same problem with a server I have in Europe
and it was a combination WINS/DNS issue.

| I think it is related to how Outlook clients handle DSPROXY..
