I am using exchnage 2000 in a SBS2k environment.
Does one have to use OWA to allow an outside user to check their email ? Can
we use the full blown outlook program or must we use the owa website ??

You could use Offline Folder File (search for help within Outlook on how to
setup) with VPN. Very safe and very reliable. What kind of firewall are
you running? If its ISA2000 then its fairly simple to setup.
