Exchange Log question
|
|
|
| The actual exchange information file stored
is "priv1.edb" is reporting to be 13 gig in size but when
i add up all the users mail box sizes it adds to 1 gig.
How could i find the remaining 12 gig of data storage
where its coming from. Is there anyway of finding out
where this additional 12 gig storage is coming from

| It could be whitespace within the database. You can confirm this by looking
for event ID 1221 in your application log. If it is, it won't harm anything
by leaving it. The only way to reduce it in size will be to perform an
offline defrag using eseutil.

| Ok i'll give that a try and see if it makes a difference,
but aside from that i cant work out why they dont tally up.
Thanks again.
PS.. If anyone else has other suggestions, please feel
free to post them.
