Author Public Folder error in ESM

When accessing Public Folders from ESM (on management workstation),
"permissions" tab then "client permissions", I receive the following error:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: EXAdmin
Event Category: (14)
Event ID: 9175
Date: 9/17/2002
Time: 3:58:42 PM
User: N/A
Computer: DEREKM
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 9175 ) in Source ( EXAdmin ) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following
information is part of the event: OpenMsgStore, The information store could
not be opened.
The logon to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer failed.
MAPI 1.0
ID no: 80040111-0286-00000000.

I do not receive this when access via ESM on Exchange Server.

Anyone else experienced this?

Hi,

That sounds a lot like the issue described in
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...;en-us;Q296451. See if
that article helps resolve the problem for you. If it does not, post back
here and let us know.

I looked at this article. I have a single server Exchange org so I
disregarded it since it talks about PF replicas which I don't have. I will
wait until after applying SP3 to see if it makes a difference. As I said
below, the problem doesn't happen when launching ESM from the Exchange
Server.
