Author Exchange 2000 Public Folder Permission

I'm doing work for a company whose Exchange Administrator
left. Before he left he made sure only he had permission
to change Public Folder Security. Then he deleted his
user account from Active Directory, so we can't even log
in as him to modify permissions. Any one know a way to
reclaim those public folders and permissions? Please help.
