| When I try to browse Folders-Public Folders in Exchange System Manager I get
this message :
The SSL certificate server name is incorrect.
Id no: c103b404
Exchange System Manager
I have installed Certificate Services CA with a my own certificate to use
OWA SSL connections.
What's wrong?

| Hi,
the systemmanger connects to exchange via internetexplorer and ist settings.
The url it uses is the Servername in exchange sytsemmanger either with http
or https plus dns suffix of your Active directory. If the servername in your
certificate differs from the one in systemmanger(as you qould do it if the
server is exposed to the internet) then the console is not able to connect.
The solution ist either to use the same name for both (not ok because of
security reasons), or you use a front end (SSL here) backend constallation
(public folders here).
Hope that helps

| Sorry, but I don't understand what I have to do.
I can browse Public Folders with IE (https:\\servername\public) where
servername is the host name or the FQDN host name (intranet or internet).

| ok it is your fqdn name ( a name with dots) which is correctly entered in
dns (e. g server.domain.com) and you are able to connect throught your
browser.
but the systemmanager connects using the following url:
http(s):// +
exchangesystemmanger:administr
ative groups:"your adminstrative
group":servers:"yoursserver" (this is the first part e.g "s1000")+
dns suffix of your active directory (e.g domain.com)
is
http(s)://s1000.domain.com
If this differs from the name on the certificate ("server.domain.com") then
the systemmanger can not connect.
The solution is to use the frontend backend scenario or to adjust the two
names.
