Hi all, i would like to begin by saying thank you to all
that assisted myself in implimenting the server, not all
is done yet still have the virus server to come in.
My question comes when i want to backup the exchange
server on win2000, I have know 3rd party software for
online backups. How can i stop the services automatically
for a short time then start them back up again. Or do i
even have to ...???
Thanks
Rob

Take a look at http://www.microsoft.com/exchange, and look for the disaster
recovery white papers, they explain in great detail how online backups for
Exchange work.

Thanks
Rob

You must have a product with an Exchange compliant connector for backup.
This allows for backup while the application is running, no need, nor even
should you take the services down.
