Unable to log into Exchange Server with Outlook
|

| Jose M. Sanchez 2002-10-05, 8:21 pm |
| Hi all,
I get an error that I have no permission to log on MS Exchange Server 2000
using Outlook XP. This is happening since I deleted my computer account from
the server and created a new account. No changes in my user account.
I have tried to force not to use password authentication (so then, Outlook
ask for log in and password for Exchange any time I open it), but still the
same error.
Any solution?.
Best regards,
Jose M. Sanchez

| Recreate your mail profile and make sure you're putting in the right mailbox
alias and that it resolves to your display name. Can you open the mailbox
in OWA using those credentials? The computer account has nothing to do with
it - so if that's all that changed, I can't see why it would make a
difference.

| Also remove the account from the Domain and or Enterprise Administrators
group

| Also try to go into the Users & computers and look your account up. go to
Exchange Advance options and check your permissions... there you will see
the external acct marked.. if it is.. remove it.. and save everything.. wait
15 seconds and re open it.. and then re apply the external tab.. this should
possibly re confirm your permissions..
Let me know..

| I have been experiencing the same issue since yesterday with one of my
executive users. I have tried everything I can think of. From any other
machine I can log in as him, configure Outlook and everything works fine. I
can sit at his system and log in as anyone else, configure Outlook XP, and
no problems. I have deleted his profile and recreated, I have repaired,
uninstalled, reinstalled Outlook, etc... If anyone has any ideas, I would
surely appreciate it.
