exchange 2k smtp service please help

our exchange smpt service keeps stopping and not accepting mail on port 25
as well at this time we get errors in the event log stating that the smtp
virtual circuit has reached its maximum number of connections. we also
notice that noone can login to exchange via outlook web access. this happens
approx 1-2 times per week . i need help please.
