| I'm currently running a mixed site (1, 5.5 server and 1, 2000 server). The
current 2000 server is running Windows 2000 server and exchange 2000
standard. In the process of our migration (mailbox move) we're about 50%
done...300 mailboxes total, we've realized that with the loss of single
instance we will run over the 16gb IS limit of exchange. We've also had a
bunch of memory errors due to not being able to run the 3GB switch on Win2k
server. The current plan is to bring up a new server on win2k advanced
server and exchange enterprise edition and to replace the original exchange
2000 server and then to continue the mailbox move from 5.5 to the new
exchange server. I haven't found any great documentation in the KB. Does
anyone have any good advice on steps I have to take? How will the ADC need
to work? Are the directions different for removing the exch2k server from
the org? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
