| I've got an Exchange2000 box with less than 300 users.
It's doing over 1GB worth of transaction logs per day. Is
this normal? If not, how can I reduce the amount? Is it
ok to delete them manually before backing up?

| wow, that's an awful lot, I think. The online backup will clear them for
you...you don't want to delete them manually...you might need them in a
recovery situation...

| It is normal for decent use of the server.
You reduce the amount by decreasing the amount of email traffic.
No, you let the online backup purge them for you.
