I just completed an exchange migration to a new server, however th old
exchange org had tons of custom recipients all nicely categorized in their
old GAL that don't seen to migrate into the new AD. The only technet article
I can find requires tons of editing excel and CSV files, which may be even
more work than recreating them Does anyone know an easier way to do this?

I import them with csvde as per:

This is exactly what the ADC is for. Create an agreement between the
5.5 box and the E2K box and then one way pull them
