I forgot one question...

4. In SLMail all account are segregated by domain name. Under each domain
there could be similarly named accounts. For example, I could have a
info@abc.com account and a info@123.com account that would be completely
different. It is my understanding that in Exchange Server 2000, accounts are
in a general pool and no too can be alike. So info@abc.com and info@123.com
could not live on the same exchange server. Is this correct?

No that is not correct, you can have info@abc.com and info@123.com, as long
as the Windows 2000 name is different and the Exchange 2000 alias is
different you will be ok.

So for each iternet e-mail user there needs to be a Windows 2000 account?
How is that different from an Alias in "exchange"-speak?

Thanks.

Yes. AD is comprised of "objects". Each 'user' is an object with many
attributes, one of them being an Exchange mailbox.
