I know what you mean!

I can't believe some of these 'people' have the remotest chance of
gaining IT employment, and really goes to show how stupid some people
are.

What I find funny are the people who can't tell the difference
between posting in this group and e-mailing directly to
Microsoft. (eg. "I want to join MCSD. Please send me details.")

microsoft.public.cert.exam.mcsd what is this "exam"?

Considering that this is a group relating the exams, I would expect the
answers to the questions, to bee a little obvious, maybe you guys should
look for a different group!

maybe: microsoft.public.cert.mcsd and good luck finding it too.

Regards ODB, the one with the stupid questions.

If you want amusement, you need to read/post MCSA and MCSE. This group is
really quite boring by comparison. I'm a developer, but I read/post the
other two groups more.

Absolutely.

The mcse ng is really funny, or should I say, rather frightening! It's
not surprising that Microsoft networks get hacked so easily when you
see the questions posted by some of those wanabe [paper] mcse's.

it goes to show how bad the IT inducstry as a whole is that these kind
of people can find employment.

You can't blame the people for GETTING employed, you have to blame the
idiot that hired them!

Its like sports stars getting paid millions. I dont agree that its
right - but i certainly don't blame David Beckham, Tiger Woods or Kobe
Bryant for getting paid millions. Take the money and run mate, thats
what i'd do!
(i know its a whole different scale, i'm just trying to emphasise the
point)

I don't believe they can, certainly not for a respectable company -
they would never get through the door.

Very true. Still these are becoming fewer and fewer. No loss to IT,
with Burger King, McDonalds etc gaining those much needed managers for
those unsocial twilight hour shifts - so everyone's a winner!

The difference is that people like 'Tiger Woods' etc, are worth the
money they get within their profession. People outside their
profession may not agree so, but the fact they receive that kind of
money proves they are - prize money does not come from the State.
There are millions of people who try to become 'Tiger Woods' etc, but
can't because they simply are not good enough.

This in some respects is true of any profession, including IT. A lot
of the dot com generated, 'unskilled' IT people, have been (quite
rightly) put on the scrap heap because they are not good enough to
'compete' with those that are skilled and have the aptitude to succeed
and adapt in today's IT industry.

Kline, I'm very much agree with you. DOTCOM created a lot
of mess, and driving good IT people nut.

That's why most of the IT projects were going NO way.

I want to remind people that Software Development is a
Science not Art. It is like building a car which needs to
be very reliable.

Well, .... let's see how thing goes after this bad job
market.
