I am a CS graduate student at Uinv of Southern California.I am planning to
take the MCSD exam certification exams but i dont have any fulltime company
experience.I am currently working with access databases as a parttime job.

1.Will MCSD certification be a useful add on to my qualifications. My primary
reason was since MCSD is a standard exam ,it becomes easier for companies to
gauge my skills.
Is my argument correct. Please advise me.
2.Will my inexperience affect in any way.
3.Can anybody guide me as to how do i prepare for 70-300 ,and what kind of
questions are asked in the exam.

Would appreciate the replies......

Hi,

Q1) Yes, MCSD will add a lot to your expertise ONLY IF YOU STUDIED AS
MICROSOFT WANTS. If you depend on the dumps, then you will gain nothing. My
advice to you is to read all the exam goals from MSDN. I am personally did
that in all exams, I studied XML web service exam for 5 months from MSDN,
and when I got to exam, I found it easy.

Q2) It will add to your experience if you did as I told you.

Q3) This exam depends mostly on experience and on your knowledge in UML and
MSF. Try to find a material for it. It needs a lot of hard work.

Only within the microsoft arena.

Not at all.

One of the biggest problems with the microsoft exams, is that it is
very easy to cheap. There are many sites at there (often referred to
as 'braindumps' ), where the questions and answer of posted.

So in the eyes of a prospective employer who does not know you from
Jack, it really proves nothing to them.

You may also find the 'worth' of microsoft certification is different
depending on your location. The US the companies hold the microsoft
certifications in a higher esteem than most other countries. In the UK
(where I'm working at the moment), it is not recognized at all and
rarely a requirement for a position.

Most certainly. Although your computer related degree should prove you
have the aptitude to learn and understand what is required.

Check up the exam prep guide, and research the topics covered. There
is plenty of information in the msdn and else where on the internet.
