| The books that I am using to prep for this exam include:
1. MCAD/MCSD Visual Basic.NET Windows Applications Study Guide (Exam
70-306)
2. Visual Studio.NET: The .NET Framework Black Book (by: Coriolis)
The second book is great at filling in the gaps that were left out with the
first book. The exercises in both books are also great in helping to learn
the material.
I have been told that Transender was really good with the VS6 exams but went
to crap with .NET. Is this true?
Thanks,
Jody

| Transcerder is good, I was more then prepared after I the back ground
material to answer all the questions, on the tests, which come with 3 - 50
questions tests.
Is it worth the 100 bucks or more, I guess .... they do have a test pass
guarantee..

| I have the Microsoft Press Book, but have not touched it.
Many have told that it will help answer only about 10
questions in exam. Instead I am using Microsoft
Programming VB.NET by Francesco Balena as core reference.
It is a very thick book(1500 pages) very verbose. Don't
know, there is so much confusion on books on VB.NET. When
I was preparing for SCJP(Java Certification), I had to
just read 1 book, "A Programmers Guide to Java
Certification" by Khalid Mughal & Rasmussen, which BTW, I
regard as the Best programming book I've read so far for
any language....

More than likely down to fact that you knew the Java Language already.
The microsoft exams require more awareness of topics outside the scope
of the language. Even so anyone, who works with the environment day in
day out should not have too much problem preparing for the exams.
