Damaged certificate
|
|
| JunHaan 2003-05-22, 9:24 am |
| I just received my MCSD(VC6) Welcome Kit from Microsoft a few days ago. It came with the lapel pin
and the wallet card.
The problem was, during shipment, the lapel pin got compressed together with the certificates and
documents, and now I have a hole on the certificate.
Is the certificate still valid? Is there a way to ask for a second welcome kit to be sent?

| I think you have to get certificate on MCSD .NET too, that's why your
certificate is damnaged! :-)

It's still valid, but I would write to mcphelp@microsoft.com to request
another. It takes quite a while, but they do keep trying until you get a
good version (I've done it before for misprinted wallet cards).

No, you will have retake all the exams again and pass with at least 110%.
> Is there a way to ask for a second welcome kit to be sent?
Yes, contact Oracle or IBM.
Question: Why are there so many "developers" who have no common sense
whatsoever?
Answers on a postcard to.....

| I had to re-order an MCP certificate when the one I got
was re-printed. Just contact Microsoft. You won't lose
*any* qualifications whatsoever.

| Guess you can get another certificate! actually after doing my first MCP
exam i haven't received my certificate so i ringed up with Microsoft
regional toll free numbers and they sent me another certificate immedietly
as the previouse got stuck somewhere in post office. later weeks i received
the previous certificate sent by microsoft anyway the first certificate was
very much damaged since its in post office for long time...so i guess you
can ring up with microsoft regional office and ask for assistance.
my wishes for being MCSD on VC++, presently i'm preparing for VC++ 6.0
desktop paper using MOC any guide tips from expert point of view? thanks!
