| The MCSD.NET track on the web suggests that 4 core and 1
elective exam are required. However, the MCAD/MCSD books
suggest 3 and 1, this is kind of awkward as the
transcender track sells tha 4 and not 5. Does anybody know
if the web is up to date or the books and transcender are
correct.

| You need 5 exams for the MCSD.NET certification. The Microsoft site is
correct.
Transcender sells 4 because they do no include the elective exam.

| One reason may be that the 70-300 exam was just released a few weeks ago.
It wasn't available at the time of printing of those books.
