They tell me 70-229 will be all multiple choice, alot of which will be
reading through various stored procedures and chosing the best fit...
sounds like debug hell.

I've taked to a few guys who failed the exam and said they were
nowhere near prepared for it.

One person said he did not even get 50% through it with all the
reading.

I'm scheduled to fail this next Wednesday morning. (I want to be
really surprised and happy when I pass)

Curious, is there an exam change scheduled for any time soon? I
understand the exam format was changed in mid 2002

Does everybody on the planet get the same exam format and from the
same pool of questions?

Here goes nothing.

I passed 229 last week and did not find the reading excessive. There are a
lot of T-SQL statements to read, but if you have some experience with the
product it's really not too bad. I believe I had about 20-30 minutes left
on the clock when I finished.

Here's a tip if you're running out of time: skim through question before
you read the exhibit. You may find that of the 15 lines of script in the
exhibit, only one or two are relevant to the question.

Just be thankful it's multiple choice and not "Choose all that Apply" :-)

If there's a format change coming up, only Microsoft would know, and would
not announce it.

I believe the format is the same for everyone in the world. The question
pool is the same (assuming translation into different languages), but you
will not get the same questions each time you take the exam since the pool
is much larger than the number of questions on any one person's exam.
Again, only Microsoft would know the exact size of the pool, but you can be
sure it's much larger than 44 questions :-)

BTW, I found Transcender to be extremely helpful for 229.

Hope this helps...

Braindumps will only get you the diploma, not the knowledge. Whatever
happened to good old studying?
Go ahead, take all MCSD exams in 10 days from the braindumps, advise others
to do the same, then wonder why the value of the MCSD is zero and the
employers scoff when you show it to them!

Huh?!

FireStarter.
