Author transcender scores vs. score for

Hell All,

I am studying for the MCSD 70-176 VB desktop exam. I am using
transcender to prepare.

My question is: Transcender uses a higher scoree as passing. I am
getting about 83 or 83% on the Transcender tests, while they list
passing as 85%. Should I try and pass the test now, or should I wait
until I am getting in the 8=90's or higher.

MS's passing score is iabout 716 I have heard. What do you thingk.

thanks
--Pete
PS-- I know the CAT's score differently, this is on the 70
questions/linear score.

Personally, retaking practice exams is not very productive for me. After
taking them once, I do a pretty thorough review of all of the questions,
right or wrong. On a retake, I usually remember the details too well for the
retake result to mean anything. For me, practice exams are not so much a
gauge of how I'll score on the live exam, they're just another preparation
tool to use to learn more on the subject.

If you think you understand the explanations behind all of the questions,
whether you were right or wrong, and feel prepared on all of the topics MS
lists for the exam objectives, I'd go ahead and take the exam.

MS doesn't have any adaptive tests right now.

I have passed a number of MCP on the .NET track having
received 80-85% on the transcender. I suggest making sure
you understand 100% of the answers on transcender as well
as the MS Press practice. The actual exam will probably
throw one maybe two questions that are out of scope, but
don't let this worry you even if they are early in the
exam. The easy questions will make up for them, Good Luck.
