| I used Measureup for a couple of reasons. First, they
were the first out with questions for .NET and second,
they are relatively inexpensive.
Keep in mind that usually you get what you paid for. I've
seen many people unhappy with Measureup. But my
experience was OK because my primary focus was to 1. use
the tests to get an idea of what types of questions would
be on the exam (and how the questions are structured)
since I had never taken MS exams before. 2. Get a good
idea of my weak points and find links to resources that
would help me in those areas. So they worked pretty well
for me.
The deployment of the test depends on the test itself.
When you go to the purchase screen on Measureup they will
tell you what media the test is available on. Some may
only be available as online while others may be download
or CD as well as online.
Once you purchase a test for download you can also take it
online as well if you want. The download version usually
has a longer license period but costs more than the online
version.
You will receive a registration number but I don't ever
remember needing to use it. Your account is maintained
online and if I remember correctly you can download it
anytime during your license period and as many times as
you want. You can also by license extensions.
Keep in mind that all licenses are time-based (30 day, 60
day, etc) so you should really buy the tests when you are
sure you will be taking the exam within that time period.
