| I've used the the book from MS Press for this exam:
http://www.microsoft.com/mspress/books/4885.asp
Also, I've used the book Inside Microsoft SQL Server 2000 from MS Press
also: http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/4297.asp

| stay away from the Joyjit 228 study guide, HORRIBLE
Bad grammar, spelling, code examples that don't work, and in the beginning
of the book he bashes SQL Server saying Oracle is many time more powerful
than SQL Server... which makes you sort of want to drop the idea of getting
MCDBA and go for an Oracle cert

| I used SQL Server 2000 Backup & Recovery by Anil Desai, and Teach Yourself
SQL Server 2k from SAMS - along with SQL Books, and lots of practice!
SQL Server 2000 programming by Robert Viera is also very good book - as long
as don't mind a bit of the 70-229 material being thrown in as well!

| Yeah,
Programming SQL Server 2000 from Robert Viera is great, but it's more
focused on the 70-229 material. It will not cover too much the
administration perspective, like backup strategies, replications and other
things. It provides you only an overview.
