70-029 vs 70-229 books

| I was going to take the 70-029 test, and I have a few books on those.
But I have decided that it would be better to take the 70-229 one. My
question is - are the 70-029 books still useful? Is everything in
them still covered on the SQL 2000 exam? I know there are other
topics covered in the new exam, but I just want to know if I should
still use the SQL 7 ones? If not, does anyone have suggestions for
SQL 2000 books to get to prepare for the test? Thanks!

| I have passed both 029 and 229. As you told they are very simialr. 229 also
covers additional features of SQL Server 2000 like UDFs, XML Services,
INSTEAD OF triggers, etc. I studied Inside SQL Server 7.0 for 029 and it was
fantastic. So I can assume that Inside SQL Server 2000 will be a good option
for 229.
Good Luck.
