UNABLE TO INSTALL VISUAL STUDIO .NET ON WINDOWS 2000 SERVER
|
|
|
| I have all downloaded all the updates of Windows 2000
server. I also have a Pentium 4 1.6 gigahertz and a 512M
Ram and a 60 gigabyte harddisk. I believe I should not
have a problem but I keep on getting an error that says "
the Window Update component" is not the right version. I
have tried all options but still failed to install the
Visual Studio .Net Enterprise Architect version. Please
help.
Thanks.

| The Windows Component Update is a seperate disc... it's
the thing that has the most recent version of MDAC and all
the other little components that VS.NET needs.
You should have that disc with the box that VS.NET came
in. If you downloaded VS.NET from the subscriber site,
look for the "Windows Component Update" download... then
install that.
